Food That Helps Win the Battle Against Fibromyalgia
A book by Deirdre Rawlings, PhD, ND, MH, CNC
Foreword by Jacob Teitelbaum, MD
Using the Healing Power of Food and Nutrition to Ease Everyday Pain and Fight Fatigue
People who suffer from fibromyalgia are often misunderstood, misdiagnosed, misinformed, and misled. They are often over-medicated, under-nourished and caught in the revolving door of today’s healthcare system with no place to turn for true solutions. The healthcare system is doing its best, but there is no one pill to cure Fibromyalgia syndrome, as the symptoms are as varied as the millions of people that suffer from this debilitating condition.
Years ago, I helped a close friend recover from Fibromyalgia even before the syndrome was widely known. At the time, I was a “health nut” and deeply into exercise, nutrition and personal development. For six months, I coached and encouraged my friend towards improving her diet, nutrition, life style, and attitude to life. Today we would call this a Holistic Health approach and as evidenced by my health and wellness education, continuing through to a PhD in Holistic Nutrition, this has indeed become my life.

This book is an eye opener. More like deer in the headlights shock…to find out that all the chemicals in processed foods and possibly the insecticides used in our produce can slowly be poisoning our systems is a real shocker for me! I’ve wondered what all the fuss is about for “organic” foods. Now I know. My mother had fibro and now all my brothers and sisters and myself also have fibromyalgia! I believe we will be eating more organic foods. The severe pain we suffer with throughout our entire bodies has got to stop! Why aren’t the produce farmers listening? This is definitely a book everyone with fibro should read. A must for your library!

It is easy to read, understand and apply. Finally, I do highly recommend this book for anyone who has fibromyalgia or knows someone who does.”

A great book to recommend to anyone who could use more energy!
“I purchased this book for my wife who has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia after a co-worker recommended it. After making some changes to our food and what we eat, we are noticing a dramatic boost in energy and a reduction in aches and pains and sniffs and sneezes. I am enjoying eating real tasty food again since my wife has been using the recipes. You don’t have to have fibromyalgia to benefit from this book.”
